You don’t care that the media has focused all this attention on one little white girl in Florida and distracted you from making a difference in any way for any exploited or abused child by directing your rage toward a situation you cannot control – all for ratings and headlines and entertainment. And you, you formulate your opinions and spout them all over Twitter and Facebook and join events to turn your goddamn porch lights on last night (because nothing honors the dead like being completely wasteful, amirite?) but you won’t bother giving ONE DOLLAR toward any sort of charity to actually make a difference.
